Opstoot, meaning Uppercut in English, is a short documentary made as an assignment for my Bachelor's degree Media & Culture.

The tagline "heel veel vallen, en nog veel meer opstaan" roughly translates to "a lot of falling down, but always getting up", which refers to the struggles female boxers face in a man-dominated sport.

The documentary shows Suze, a young female boxer, preparing for her first sparring match against experienced (male) boxer Daan. Both Suze and her trainer Eddy ten Cate are interviewed and asked about their preparation and view on the sport.
